MY PROCESS

I work with Cone 6 porcelain slip cast, and go through a multiple firing process (cone 06 to cone 6). I strive to produce minimal and elegant pieces, based on shapes that can come from single pieces or 2 pieces molds, so that I have no -or very few- visible joins. I produce molds that are no for high production, and that allow for the porcelain to retain its own memory and express it during the firings. This results in a noticeable warping of the piece and reflects an individual character of each object.

I rarely glaze the exterior of my pieces to enhance the power and beauty of the intrinsic characteristics of the material. My decorations are the combination of soluble salts and handmade drawings that are then transferred to each piece by hand. There are no two identical pieces relative to the positioning of color, design and pattern.
