I seldom steer away from slip casting porcelain, but here and there I do. I have these pieces I want to make. I had space in the kiln and ran some tests with the clay I had in hand, knowing that most likely I would lose this bet. Mostly because of the different shrinkage rate of each clay.
But it’s not the same knowing it than living it.
And I lost. But I learned enough to try again. A different way.
